At CentreSteps Allied Health, therapy is designed to be clear, consistent, and focused on real-world outcomes.

We work in planned therapy blocks so each person has a clear direction and regular review points.

Therapy Blocks

Why we use therapy blocks

Therapy works best when it is consistent and reviewed regularly.
Booking one session at a time can lead to gaps in care and unclear goals.

Our block approach helps ensure:

  • Sessions build on each other

  • Goals stay visible

  • Progress is reviewed

  • Families know what to expect

What a therapy block includes

A therapy block includes:

  • An initial session

  • A set of ongoing therapy sessions

  • Time for your therapist to plan, write notes, and prepare resources

  • A progress report at the end of the block

This means you receive a planned therapy program, not just appointments.

What happens in the first session

Your first session is used to:

  • Get to know you or your child

  • Understand goals and challenges

  • Explain how therapy will work

  • Agree on session times and frequency

After this, your therapy block is confirmed.

Ongoing therapy

During your block:

  • Sessions happen at regular, agreed times

  • Your therapist tracks progress and adjusts support

  • Notes and planning are completed between sessions

This keeps therapy focused and organised.

Reviews and progress reports

At the end of each block:

  • A progress report is completed

  • Goals are reviewed

  • We decide together whether to:

    • Continue

    • Change the plan

    • Or pause or finish therapy

Therapy continues because it is helping - not automatically.

What about planning, notes and reports?

Therapy includes more than the time in the room.

Your therapist also spends time:

  • Writing notes

  • Planning sessions

  • Preparing resources

  • Reviewing progress

  • Writing reports

This work is built into your therapy block so:

  • You know it is included

  • You know when it happens

  • And there are no unexpected charges

Your funding supports both the sessions you attend and the clinical work that makes those sessions effective.

Consistency and cancellations

Regular sessions give the best results. Because your place is reserved as part of a planned block, we ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or change a session. Late cancellations may be charged.

Our approach

We focus on what matters, take clear steps forward, and support people to grow in confidence and independence.
